Continental Divide hike

La Amistad International Park, this trail will take us to the Continental Divide. (With abundant bird life, this is the habit of the resplendent Quetzal (best time Jan-April), large variety of plants, and beautiful primary and secondary forest).Continental Divide (2000 mts.-6561.6 feet) altitud with spectacular views of the Pacific and The Careaben sea.

The Quetzal Trail hike

The Quetzal Trail conect Boquete and Guadalupe Town (Cerro Punta), with a distance of 6 miles(9.6 klm). It takes 3.5 hrs to 6.5 hrs to hike this trail. The altitud at Cerro Punta “El Respingo Ranger Station” is 6500 feet (1980 mts), Boquete “Alto Chiquero Ranger Station” altitud is about 5900 feet (1800 mts) and the highest elevation is at “La Roca”(The Rock) half way of this trail at about 9800 feet(3000 mts), this is a picnic and camping area with a gorgeous view of the cloud forest. The Quetzal Trail is well known as the habit of the Resplendent Quetzal, and also the most popular hike on Panama.

White rock trail hike

The white rock trail is one of the most popular easy trails in Boquete. This trail feature an spectacular hike through a cloud forest and a beautiful waterfall at the end of the trail. This is a great location to see the resplendent quetzal, sloths, howler monkeys, etc. View a picture here

Volcan Baru hike

The best time to start this tour is at 11:30 pm, as this would take us 5 to 6 hours (depend on how good is physical condition). This is one of the most dificults trail, the terrain is dry with many stones but the reward if you make it up is the best,  from the top you can see the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The Volcan Baru is the highest elevation in Panama, and the highest volcano in Southern Central America, with a height of 11,400 feet(3457 mts), 27 kilometers up and down. Due to the narrow isthmus of Panama, you can see the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea from the top of the volcano on a clear day. It is a dormant volcano located south of the Continental Divide west of the province of Chiriqui and is surrounded by a fertile highland area and helped by the Chiriqui and Caldera rivers. The town of Volcan and Cerro Punta is found at the west, while Boquete is at the east side and only about 25 kilometers east of the border with Costa Rica. The most important eruption occurred about 800 years, where the minimum temperature is -4°c, the formation of frost is frequent.

Piedra de Lino hike

The Piedra de Lino Trail is located at 1690m above sea level. The trail is located in the middle of a coffee plantation farm and will allow you to see some of the most spectacular views od Boquete downtown, Jaramillo Mountain, David city, and Pacific. The trail willtake us to the top of a rock formation originated by last volcanic eruption.
